At ENVOL, we carefully select all the materials that make up or accompany our products. We are committed to always choosing the most human- and environmentally friendly option, regardless of the sourced material. Our raw materials come exclusively from Switzerland, Italy, and Portugal. We also favor suppliers geographically close to our partner workshop in Sao Jao Da Madeira (Portugal) to limit our carbon footprint related to transportation.
Leathers:

Some of our leather comes from an Italian tannery certified by the Leather Working Group Gold. The LWG audit standard is a tool designed to assess the environmental performance of leather manufacturers, particularly in areas of traceability, deforestation, health, safety, and social compliance. We only purchase Gold-certified leather, the highest possible and most environmentally friendly level of certification.
The other part of our leathers is upcycled. Upcycling consists, in a circular economy approach, of finding existing leathers that are lying dormant in stocks, often left aside by major brands, and sometimes waiting to be destroyed. It therefore involves the reuse of a material that is itself already derived from waste. A sort of double upcycling ! A great way to promote optimal use of resources by giving them a second life and to avoid waste by creating bags without creating any material.
Metal parts:

Our studs and rings are all 0.1-micron gold-plated and made in Italy. Our zippers are made of brass, a raw material that guarantees high quality, and come from a renowned Swiss workshop specializing in luxury leather goods.
All the other pieces are manufactured less than 60km from our partner workshop in Sao Jao da Feira, Portugal: the textile linings of our bags are 100% cotton and OEKO-TEX certified, as well as the protective fabric pouches, also 100% cotton.
